Legendary stamping ground for countless Knightsbridge habitues, Signor Sassi is also the place where Ulrika Jonsson & Sven-Goran Eriksson had many an illicit meeting, no doubt squirreled away in one of the nooks & crannies of this rambling restaurant. Its menu covers all the Italian classics with favourites including lobster, scampi & prawn cocktail, tortelloni stuffed with Gorgonzola & asparagus, & main courses of veal stuffed with ham in a tomato & mushroom sauce or baby chicken grilled with rosemary, chilli & garlic. Staff balance full-on Italian gusto with polished service. Steep-ish prices reflect the des-res location.
