It’s all racing-car art, zig-zag painted pillars & high stools for perching in the front bar of this convivial brick-lined basement, while both ambience & artwork are more sedate in the comfortable dining area. Tuck into pan-fried chorizo & calamari with bulgur wheat & rocket salad or bruschetta with wild mushroom & pesto before a fillet of plaice with new potatoes, samphire salad & chilli & lime butter, or perhaps a more macho 8oz rib-eye steak with anchovy butter & chips.
