Square Meal Review of Haché Fulham ?

“Haché is reclaiming the burger for adults”, notes a fan of this modest family- owned chain, which eschews hipster grunge, lurid lights and thundering music in favour of sophisticated interiors, shaker-style walls, pastel shades and chandeliers. It may not be hip, but the burgers themselves are top-notch: served in soft brioche or crisp ciabatta and timed to perfection, they’re “freshly made, hot and tasty”. Around 20 different types are on show, and the sheer range is astonishing: the Italian-themed steak milano is a big hit, but you could also plump for a Louisiana (including a dollop of crunchy peanut butter), jerk chicken, Asian-inspired aromatic duck, pulled pork or falafel with sweetcorn. Sides are spot-on (try the sweet-potato fries) and desserts are of the gut-busting variety (sticky toffee pudding etc). Drinks range from ‘”reasonably priced” wines to boozy milkshakes.

  1. I searched online for anywhere selling nachos nearby and came up with Hache Burger. Hache is a family run restaurant that was established in 2004 in North London, they then set up shop in Chelsea and have consequently opened another two venues in Shoreditch and Clapham in recent years. I had been here but years ago and so was quite happy to try it again. It is a very "cute" place as it has these gorgeous Japanese style fairy / flower blossom lights and there are plenty of mirrors, dark wood and low lighting that creates an ambiance. It almost feels romantic which is extremely rare for a burger joint! Plus it literally serves every burger you can think of from an All-Day-Breakfast burger with bacon, mushrooms and a fried egg to a Thai Fish burger which is a mix of cod and smoked mackerel with exotic Thai herbs and spices served with a sweet chilli sauce and topped with spring onions and shaved cucumber....now you don't get that in McDonald's. They also do the usual run of the mill cheese burgers and salads if you prefer to stick to what you know...

Wrap Your Lips Around This :: Hache

The ambience inside Hache is unambiguously romantic; low lighting illuminates bleached wooden furniture, and framed mirrors line the walls, draped with whimsical flower blossom fairy lights. As if to drive the point home, toilet doors are painted in a bright pink glitter – Hache is a burger establishment most definitely geared towards the girls. The shear variety of the menu puts other burger joints to shame; it seems as if anything you can put between buns, has been. This includes shoulder of lamb with mint sauce or harissa, crispy duck with hoisin sauce, and Thai fishcakes with sweet chilli sauce. The beef patties are made of lean chopped steak (and on the menu referred to as steak) and delivered fresh daily from a farm in Ayrshire, and buns are either ciabatta or brioche...

Bears Bites :: Hache, Fulham Road

Haché is what you might now consider a small chain, with their most recent restaurant opening up in Clapham and another in Camden and Shoreditch. Suzie and Berry Casey opened their first restaurant in 2004 and since then it has gone from strength to strength...
