Although situated in a part of Putney that has yet to be glamorised, the same cannot be said of the romantic, weatherproof terrace & spacious interior dining rooms of this quality local. An interesting modern art collection adds focus to the design, but it’s the modern, Anglo-Italian food that really makes this place worth a visit. From a menu celebrating seasonal produce, a spring dinner offered potted shrimps alongside a wonderfully fresh & vibrant broad bean, rocket, mint & pecorino salad to start, & tagliolini with crab & chilli & a meltingly tender slow-roast pork belly with beetroot & cabbage as mains. Though prices can mount up, there’s a set menu available most of the time, & the service is delightful.
