Part of a small chain that started life in Paris, Noura’s Belgravia flagship is an impressively laid-out space cleverly split into a smart restaurant & less formal brasserie. There’s also plenty of room for the open kitchen, which sends out a steady flow of hot & cold mezze as well as myriad kebabs ranging from shish to shawarma – the charcoal grill sizzles day & night with succulent meats for the carnivores, although fish fans & veggies aren’t ignored. Best value comes from the bargain lunch menu (£22.50), which includes five mezze plates followed by a mixed grill & coffee – although it would be a shame not to indulge in some unctuously sweet baklava for afters. Speedy service & plenty of space between tables are added inducements for the business-lunch crowd.
