Noor Jahan

It might look just like any other neighbourhood Indian, but Noor Jahan has some rather famous regulars. Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie eschewed Michelin-starred options to eat here on a recent visit, while Gwyneth Paltrow & Rowan Atkinson have also been spotted tucking in at its white-clothed tables. Mixed reports about the food suggest that celebrity patronage has gone to its head, but Noor Jahan’s menu still aims squarely at the high-street classics – so expect butter chicken, lamb pasanda & a special chicken tikka masala tossed with almonds & cashew nuts. Duck masala, cooked in the tandoori oven with a special blend of spices, is a favourite. Given its location just off Old Brompton Road, it’s no surprise the place gets packed every night with a stream of well-to-do customers.
