Monza’s small, banana-yellow frontage is loud &, while its interiors are a similar colour, guests are saved from feeling like they’re dining in a bowl of custard by the back-to-back motor-racing memorabilia lining the walls. The excessive adornments can make the pint-sized dining room feel cramped, but it’s also a cosy place that works up a spirited atmosphere when humming with people enjoying the simple Italian food. Start with crespella (pancakes filled with langoustine & scampi sauce), move on to roast quail with mint & ham risotto & finish up by dunking fresh fruit into a molten chocolate fondue.
