Square Meal review of Mimmo d'Ischia:
Unless you’re a real fan of the old-school Italian – pink tablecloths, ancient celebrity snaps, unashamedly retro cooking – you’re probably ‘better off in a pizza place’. While Mimmo still has faithful fans, it’s unlikely to win many new ones. At £14.50 for a starter of avocado with prawns & £18.50 for calf’s liver without veg, with a £2 cover charge & (optional) 12.5% service charge on top, we tend to agree with the reader who labels this restaurant ‘a true rip-off’.
