Square Meal review of Le Metro:
Le Metro emerged from a refit last year & now the all-day bistro is a floral affair done up in neutral colours with various tables tucked away for discretion. Despite the French name, the fairly priced menu is an eclectic mix & has none of the airs & graces that usually go with Knightsbridge eateries: dishes might include coarse country pate with apple & cider chutney, char-grilled squid with fresh red chilli & rocket, pie of the week, risotto of the month, or a salmon fishcakes with tomato salsa & lime creme fraiche. Open all day & pitched half-way between Harvey Nichols & Harrods, it’s great for a post-shopping pick-me-up. Afternoon tea is served from 4-6pm.
