Square Meal review of Masala Zone:
This split-level, simple dining room, prettified with primitive wall art & light box table dividers, does a roaring trade with passing shoppers & local workers. The menu features bowls of noodles or curry & rice dishes, but more interesting are the street foods & thalis. The former include several vegetarian options such as the delicious dahi puri – puffed wheat biscuits filled with tangy chickpea mash, yoghurt & chutney – & a shikampuri kebab, a fragrant lamb patty spiced with cardamom. Thalis are whole meals served on one plate including meat, veg, dhal, rice & chapati. There are daily changing specials & delicious cocktails.
