As a rallying point for glamour models, premiership footballers and hedge-fund managers, this 80ft-long, double-sided onyx bar is low on subtlety but high on people-watching potential. During daylight hours, it's a sedate affair, but nightfall heralds the arrival of the red-carpet brigade, with a pulsating house-music soundtrack, billowing muslin curtains and strip lights fuelling the spirit of hedonistic abandon. Martinis lead the charge on the drinks list – try a marmalade Jack (Jack Daniel's shaken with marmalade, honey water and Grand Marnier) or perhaps a truly seismic Vesuvio (Ketel One Citroen vodka with lychee liqueur, ginger, lemongrass and chilli). The consistent quality of drinks and generous bar snacks such as burgers, charcuterie and mezze plates has been commended, although some have suggested the service could be a little zippier at peak times.
