Square Meal review of Lemonia:
Cherished by locals, Lemonia is a well-established fixture on Primrose Hill’s main drag. Why do the locals love it so much? For a start it’s an unfussy family-run sort of place with rustic furnishings & friendly staff. Although the food costs more than you’d pay at your average Greek taverna, it is consistently well executed. There’s a familiar line-up of hot & cold mezze: taramasalata, aubergine salad, grilled haloumi eaten with pitta bread & to follow you’ll rarely find a dud dish among mains of lamb, chicken or fish skewers, moussaka & stifado (beef casserole). You’ll need to book at weekends, but if you can’t get a table, try lower-key sister restaurant Limani (tel: 7483 4492) over the road, which serves up a similar menu.
