The dining room at the Four Seasons offers everything you’d expect from the luxury hotel group: deferential service, well-spaced tables, plush upholstery & decor that, despite some very eye-catching use of marble & glass, feels rather corporate. Still, you’re unlikely to be dining in a Park Lane hotel unless you have a company gold card at your disposal & the menu pushes all the right business buttons. Foie gras terrine with bresaola, plum wine jelly & roasted sesame macadamia nuts, & pan-seared black cod fillet with a cauliflower & cucumber salad, saffron miso broth & sweet basil are clever spins on power-dining favourites, while there’s Dover sole with chive sauce to remind you that you’re in London not Los Angeles – as does a lovely view of Hyde Park that makes breakfast meetings a pleasure.
