Square Meal review of Jerusalem:
A barbecue in Jerusalem’s ‘secret garden’ from 6pm to 9pm on Fridays is a magnet for demob-happy local workers, not that this lively basement bar, owned by the group behind Punk & Salvador & Amanda, needs to try too hard to attract extra custom. At all other hours, lunch & dinner menus (Jerusalem artichoke soup, sea bass in lemon butter & sticky toffee pud, say) as well as bites & platters to share are a draw. Beers include Stella, Sol & Michelob; vino blanco starts at £12.50 for a Spanish white & the current craze for cider poured over ice shows no sign of abating here.
