Clubby & relaxed, this modest-sized outpost of the Jamies chain is tucked into a pretty & atmospheric courtyard off historic Bow Lane. It’s a pleasant spot in which to order a bottle from the Jamies list, with plenty of choice by the glass & a seasonal pink tinge in summer that might include a Babich New Zealand rose & a Veuve Clicquot Rosé Champagne at £65. Nobler reds on the list include a 2004 Chateau Mont-Redon Chateauneuf-du-Pape at £40; there’s a simple menu of light nibbles, sandwiches & the like with which to soak up the booze.
