Overlooking the stylish One Aldwych hotel lobby, this comfortable, breezy space is one of Covent Garden’s best – though oft-forgotten – dining options, serving up delightful modern European food. By day, Indigo’s hushed atmosphere is suitable for business, but by night it shares the buzz of the trendy Lobby Bar below. The light, neatly presented dishes are generally excellent, from a perfectly cooked lemon sole with asparagus, prawn & dill veloute to rich chocolate soufflé with elderflower sorbet & gooseberry coulis. Attentive but discreet staff can make sound recommendations from the diverse wine list, & on the weekends, the brunch menu features duck eggs Benedict, omelette Arnold Bennett & brioche French toast.
