Square Meal Review of Incognico ?

Very proper service, comfortable leather seats & dark wood panelling set the tone at Incognico, which models itself on a classic Parisian brasserie – although its seasonal menu owes as much to Italy as France. Start with pumpkin & amaretto ravioli in a thick sage butter or seared scallops with rocket, ahead of roast rack of lamb with tarragon jus & Jerusalem artichoke purée or tuna steak, cooked rare & served with balsamic beetroot & watercress salad. For afters, perhaps pear & almond tart or warm chocolate mousse. The cooking is generally assured, & those who are put off by the thought of paying £10 for a starter should check out the theatre menu at £19.50 for two courses.

I cannot comment on the value for money as my husband paid however the maitre d'hote was fantastic and very attentive. the atmosphere was very jolly on arrival and thinned out by the end of our meal – alot of people eat here before the theatre.
The crab salad was deliciously fresh and a very generous portion. Scallops were perfect.
Both mains (liver and lamb) were well presented and I agree with the previous postings we were encouraged to order sides which we just about finished but then had no room for pudding. So if you ahve a sweet tooth don't order any sides.

I ate at Incognico on the evening of Friday 17 September with two friends, booking a special offer of 3 courses from the a la carte menu + a glass of champagne for £27.50. It has an excellent central London location, which was the main reason for booking. The food was average (can't see how they could've charged £18 for the mains). The business model though is clearly for the restaurant to make as much money as possible from extras: wine was minimum of £30; side orders were £4.50, etc. Our bill came to £150 including service. Not great value for money.

One thing I've found is that this restaurant is reviewed very positively on SquareMeal and other restaurant search website (e.g., TopTable). Makes me think that the restaurant owners are pushing up Incognico's ratings themselves…

We were invited for birthday of our friend to Incognico. Restaurant was half empty but staff looked very stressed for some reason. They were forgetting our orders. We have to ask several times for drinks. Very tucky. I think they thought we were tourists and treated us like ones. definitely won't go there again.

Last week I visited Incognico Restaurant on the recommendation of a good friend of mine who entertains regularly in the top London Restaurants. Our meal experience was first class and even surpassed the high expectations anticipated.
The food content and presentation were second to none and the service attentive and professional. The Restaurant still full when we left. I can’t wait to go back again in the near future.
