Enormous & welcoming but often overwhelmed by its own popularity, Gifto’s is a bargain-priced eatery popular with the local Asian community as well as curry enthusiasts who come here for the straight-up Punjabi cooking & generally buzzing, bustling atmosphere. There’s plenty to please here, from lentils to lamb’s brain, & if the queues (especially at weekends) seem too much, there’s always the takeaway option. Though unlicensed, Gifto’s is perfectly happy for customers to bring their own beer or wine.
