The macho Gaucho continues to be one of the best places to get stuck into a juicy steak. Its beef is all Argentinian, with cuts like rump, rib-eye & sirloin served in three sizes: 225g, 300g & 400g. Larger hunks are available upon request. Skipping beef means defying the when-in-Gaucho rule, yet fish & chicken options do boast vibrant colours & spicing (ceviches, in particular, are very good), while an extensive wine list is limited only in terms of geography, featuring as it does only Argentinian examples of the world’s finest varietals. The friendly, informed staff will help you choose a bottle that makes the cut. Early 2008 will see the restaurant refurbed in the striking black & white cowhide mufti familiar from other branches.
