There’s a kind of 1990s-revisited pleasure attached to sitting at refectory tables in this continental-style beer hall. But drinking, like fashion, is subject to cycles, & with the rising popularity of brewpubs, Bunker could be back on trendy radars. There’s Bok, pilsner & organic lagers brewed in impressive copper vats, or bottled Crown San Miguel & Nastro Azzurro for the less adventurous. Twenty-odd wines join £6.50 mule, daiquiri & martini cocktails while the food rounds up global dishes such as boar sausages on colcannon, Cajun chicken salad & frankfurter with mustard.
