Catch & Champagne Bar at Andaz

One of the worst meals I've had in a long time. Awkward as I was with a client so could not make a fuss.
Started with the duck liver pâté which was had an unpleasant texture and flavour. Had the main course plaice and squid. Plaice was OK but the squid was actually raw and revolting. My client had the fish and chips and the batter was not properly cooked. The restaurant was empty by the time we left. Avoid at all costs, dreadful. What makes it worst is my good memories of this establishment when it was Fishmarket.

This resto is well past it's “Sell By” date. Went there with clients for lunch and was utterly disappointed and then shocked to see the £200+ bill for what amounted to poorly prepared and tasteless food.

The Goat's Cheese Salad was neither a salad nor did it include anything that even resembled Goat's Cheese. What was served came close to a mousse of some sort with hardly a leaf of salad in the serving. Three out of the four of us ordered this same dish and were left scratching our heads when it arrived and, almost in unison, put down our forks after a few bites each! The Mains were not any better as the simple Fish & Chips order was terribly overcooked and hard to even cut through while the Trout was “chewy” according my client and colleague who both ordered the same dish.

Finally, the place was practically empty at peak lunch hour in the City. That should've given us enough of a hint to exit immediately instead suffereing through a inedible meal AND get charged exorbitantly for the experience! I've since asked my PA to remove Catch from the list of nearby restaurants to take clients or to go for team gatherings!!!

We were at Catch last night and the service could not have been better. The food was also first class and will be recommending this place to my friends.

My partner and I went here for dinner on a Thursday night a few weeks ago. The restaurant was completely empty and had no atmosphere, we should have gathered from the lack of customers that something was wrong! I ordered the King prawn starter. I was served RAW king prawns wrapped in filo pastry. They hadn't been cooked nearly enough and were clearly orginally frozen. We were disgusted and walked out of the restaurant choosing not to eat there at all. I really don't recommend this place as its expensive and the food is awful.

Excellent value, SM deal really good. Good special menu choice. Will go again.
