Given the location, it’s no surprise that this family-friendly seafood restaurant is often overwhelmed by the relentless Borough Market crowds. Outdoor terrace seats are the clear favourites, although the glass structure means you never feel too far from the action. A menu of sustainable seafood includes home-smoked salmon, Dorset oysters & a perpetually popular fish pie. You can also choose your own species, which is grilled or steamed to order & served with sauces of your own picking (spicy salsa or a red-wine fish gravy, say). One doesn’t often think of going to a seafood restaurant for breakfast, but Fish! does early repasts on market days (Thurs-Sat) & brunch on Sunday, featuring grilled Scottish kippers & the nostalgic fish-finger sandwich.
