Smarter & more comfortable yet no pricier than the branch of FishWorks around the corner, this Chiswick fish restaurant is favoured by those in the know. It’s a good-looking space, with oversized, arty black & white photos of fish themes, pleasingly nautical bench seating at spacious tables & plenty of napery to absorb some of the clatter & chatter. Starters offer a broad selection of seafood, from oysters to soft-shell crab tempura via octopus & clam-rich fish stew. Mains are fishier, from fish green curry to grilled sea bream & crispy sea bass. Given the tip-top freshness of the fish & the great cooking, it’s not too expensive (starters £8, mains £16), while the well-priced set menu (£10/£13.50 for two/three courses) & an ungreedy wine list make it a good choice for business lunches.
