The Edge

You’ll recognise this friendly, gay/mixed, vertical drinking establishment from the building’s rainbow-flag colour-wash & the equally lurid Hare Krishna devotees (from next door) banging their drums outside. By contrast Kylie, Cheryl & Gaga are more likely to form the thumping soundtrack on the Tony Moreno-style flashing dancefloor. An unchallenging menu is available in the café/bar, although the whole place morphs into a disco as the evening grows late. The Edge gets through enough San Miguel to drown Sitges, budget grape-based glugs are plentiful, & promo offers are gratefully received. Cosmo, caipirovska & some sweeter-than-sweet mixes are the thing in the ‘alfresco’ vodka & cocktail bar. For full-on commercial fun, The Edge fits the bill; for hardcore hedonism, look elsewhere.
