More of a drinking den with food, the Duke is the epitome of a decent, modern pub. Coming under the Young’s umbrella, the quality of the beer is guaranteed & the reasonably priced, if unexciting, wine list has everything a local pub could want. Food follows a formula of classics – burger, salads, pastas, sharing platters. Complaints focus on ‘the number of Hoorays who inhabit the place’ & the slow service.
