Smart & comfortable rather than fashionable, the successor to Nababbo follows a similar formula on the fringes of Leadenhall Market, the basement dining room larger than it first appears & the menu stuffed with Italian favourites. Start perhaps with bresaola with rocket, parmesan, olive oil & lemon before a main course of spaghetti alle vongole or a grilled sirloin steak with rocket & a balsamic-scented sauce. Pud offerings include, as you’d expect, tiramisu or pannacotta. French & Italian bottles dominate the wine list.
