Square Meal review of Corney & Barrow Eastcheap:

Having closed in summer 2007 for extensive refurbishment, the Eastcheap outpost of Corney & Barrow has now reopened with a brand-new look. The transformation includes ash floors, mother-of-pearl tiles, a black granite bar & smart banquettes, while the bar is more spacious than before. Menus haven’t changed dramatically, with a choice of platters, salads & bar snacks offered alongside more contemporary main courses such as steak & kidney pudding & Tamworth pork sausage & mash with a twist. The extensive wine list remains, with plenty of by-the-glass choice.
