There’s a Mediterranean yacht-club feel to this City package, particularly on summer days when the barbecue is called into action (from £14 per head) & a sun-trap terrace comes into its own. Ship-shape basil prawn brochettes, rib-eye on ciabatta, & sharing platters are typical, with comfort food a draw come winter. Corney & Barrow’s main gig is as a wine merchant of considerable standing, so whether your purse favours a Pays d’Oc Merlot at £14.95 or a Nuits St Georges at £65, you can order with confidence. Great by-the-glass selection, too.
