The cream interior is a bit bland but the dishes make up for that by being bold & colourful. Fans swear they’ve ‘never had a bad meal here’. A vibrant starter plate mixes artichoke hearts with red chicory, parmesan & truffle oil ahead of saffron-tinted linguine with prawns & courgettes. Mains range from simple things such as grilled scallops on rocket salad to hearty fare like roast rack of lamb with Dijon mustard, red wine & herb sauce. All is served by charming staff who both know the regulars & make newcomers feel part of the family.
