Square Meal review of The City Pipe:

The Windsor chairs are a nod to Davy’s traditional Victorian look but, furniture aside, this is a crisply & contemporary wine bar, with a big telly, two spacious hireable annexes & a formal dining area. Lunch at the bar on wholetail scampi sandwiches with wild rocket, tartare sauce & chips or a yellowfin tuna steak nicoise, or go for a new season lamb steak with minted pea puree or dressed Devonshire crab. Either way, a pale 2006 Veneto Pinot Grigio rosé from the summer selection is sure to induce a holiday mood.
