A few new dishes have been added to this friendly little restaurant just off James Street, but regulars will be pleased to know that it remains loyal to its roots, serving tasty Thai food at bargain prices. Options such as marinated prawns in a rice pancake or spicy duck salad with ground roasted rice offer variety, but this is essentially a place that does the basics well. Green & red curries, tom yum soup & pad thai fly out of the open kitchen, helped on their way by a team of demure waitresses. Big windows, simple decor & homely cushions lend a relaxed cafe feel to the interior. There’s free green or jasmine tea with the popular set lunch, which is brought quickly to keep within the one-hour lunchtime limit.
