Square Meal review of Cargo:
A lovely garden in the grittiest of urban settings is the unlikeliest surprise at this big bar, live music venue & diner tucked into a warren of railway arches in deepest Shoreditch. Buzzy by night, by day it’s pretty laid back, with lunchtime slackers taking advantage of the Street Food Cafe’s WiFi facility to linger into the afternoon. Food is Latin & Mediterranean themed: roast vegetable tacos with mozzarella & guacamole, seafood brochettes with peri-peri sauce or perhaps chicken mole poblano with a Mexican chocolate sauce. The short wine list mixes Hispanic & French bottles, bottled beers include Latin Morettis & Cruzcampos alongside the German Konig Ludwig Hefe. The short cocktail list includes the classic likes of mojitos & bellinis.
