Buchan's

A ‘local’s local’, as one reader aptly puts it, Buchan’s has been serving an eclectic mix of Scottish & continental European cooking for a very long time to a very loyal band of public school types of all ages. The inevitable haggis & neeps & tatties, as well as really good Aberdeen Angus, are as indelible here as the blue on the St Andrew’s flag. But the rest of the menu changes from time to time. Recent favourites have included crispy belly of pork with Puy lentils & spiced salmon tartare with guacamole & sour cream. The whisky list is impressive & there’s plenty to tempt on the nicely annotated wine list, too.
