Combining a restaurant, wine shop & the Wine Gallery, this flagship Brinkley’s may play elder sibling to its various sister sites across west London, but it refuses to set its culinary
ambitions much higher – which seems to suit its clientele down to the ground. The likes of potted crab with avocado purée, calf’s liver with pancetta & mash or Thai prawn curry might be joined
by slightly more upmarket options – tuna tartare or a burger with foie gras, for example – but this is still happy-go-lucky comfort food at its best. The restaurant itself, decked out in clean
white tones, is a large part of the appeal, as is the inexpensive & well thought-through wine list. For the most part, the place attracts a friendly, civilised crowd, although there have been a
few reports of boisterious exuberance.
