Younger & more of a transatlantic bar than its elder sibling Café Bohème next door, BKB does a rapid-fire lunch trade, & livens up by night, when its loyal local following grab the window tables & down Prosecco cocktails, watermelon martinis & pints of Leffe. The US brunch-style menu features assorted small plates – mini hot dogs, calamari, nachos – then salads, club sandwiches, mac & cheese, ribs & steaks; to finish, banana split & triple chocolate brownie keep it simple & fun. There are DJs on Fridays, & lots of space in the animated brick & stripped-wood room for hanging out & drinking – grab one of the small tables by the bar or park yourself on one of the squishy sofa banquettes.
