Square Meal review of Beit Eddine:
Beit Eddine has been around for years – & it shows. The thick blue carpets are faded, the banquettes covered in a tatty, velour-like material & the pictures of Lebanese landscapes look as though they’ve come from the local tourist bureau. Nevertheless, it has its fans, & while lunchtimes are quiet, evenings pull in a faithful crowd who tuck in to hot & cold mezze (stuffed vine leaves, refreshing tabbouleh, grilled quail with lemon juice & garlic) & skewers of chicken & lamb from the charcoal grill. It’s healthy, filling & served by laid-back staff.
