From entry-level claret at £16 to a Chateau Haut-Bailly 1999, Pessac-Leognan, the priciest Bordeaux at a reasonable £38.50, the list caters to BB’s core clientele’s taste for affordable wine. West End business people like their grape French, but a short list of New World bottles, such as a New Zealand Allan Scott Sauvignon Blanc 2006 Marlborough, is worth a look. British grazing platters, classic bar food such as cocktail sausages, devilled kidneys & trout paté, plus lunch & dinner menus of Home Counties classic fare is served in appealing spruced-up Dickensian surroundings.
