Scintillating views across London’s skyline are Babylon’s trump card – as you’d expect from a seventh-floor rooftop restaurant set in a leafy oasis. Nevertheless, the striking Biba-esque interior, vibrant atmosphere & ‘first-class’ service also impress, as does the sleek private room with its alfresco terrace. Prices reach expense-account territory, yet loyal regulars would argue that the top-drawer ingredients & the consistent cooking (‘glorious to the taste buds’) fully justify the bill. Soups such as courgette & chervil with crème fraîche punch above their weight thanks to judicious sourcing; likewise fat scallops, served with a summery foil of crushed peas & broad beans, marjoram & smoked bacon. Even that hardy perennial, fillet steak, is given a seasonal makeover with vine tomatoes & summer truffle, while the sparkling freshness of dill & samphire lifts a tranche of baked salmon. To finish, share a Babylon dessert plate, filled with the likes of mango soufflé.

Went for the Sunday lunch – great family atmosphere complete with magician!
Food was to a very high standard and staff relaxed but efficient – no stuffy formal waiters here.
Great views over the city – - ask for a window table if booking in time & visit the gardens to see the flamingoes & ducks – club below would be a fantastic setting for an exclusive party

A case of black and white. The food is good. The service too – sometimes. But it all doesn't matter because of the shere wow factor of Mr. Branson's signature Restaurant/Private Member's Club. Recently the menu has changed and taken on a more sophisticated tone, which has seen prices rocket. This is a pity because before it used to be refreshingly reasonable. Yet on a recent late dinner apart from slightly shakey service – which one half expects – it performed nicely. The views are among the best in the capital and as a diner one can shake off some calories at the nightclub!

Really nice fresh food and a clean and stylish dining room which was offset against TGI “bonkers” style service – if I may be a shade unkind – and table magicians on a sunday lunch. Horribly night club priced drinks, (£5 for a bottle of peroni and £9 for a vodka with mixer and lime) which ended up presenting us with a lumpy bill for a set price lunch…overall too pricey unless you like yer bling prices!

We really enjoyed our experience here. We took advantage of one of the special menu offers. We started with an aperitif on the balcony. The view of the city (and all of London) was fantastic. A great way to get an overview after just having moved here. Unfortuneately the rooftop garden was under reconstruction/renovation at the time, so we were unable to explore it.

The food was very good and we were both pleased. The sommelier was very helpful and aided us in selecting a great bottle. The only down point was that we were sat next to the wooden floor-boarded walkway and the staff made a lot of noise and vibrations walking up and down all night. So I would suggest requesting a table away from here.

A good night out. It will definitely be a venue that I will think of to take overseas visitors to.

This was a great surprise. A view to die for, impeccable service and delicious food. Well priced wine list, and everything well presented. Few little gripes: rare steak was rather overcooked, no finger bowl with the lobster, table (for 2) rather small, but staff keen to please and attentive without being intrusive. If something was needed, it arrived quickly without fuss. Smart crowd, sophisticated. Much better than expected – we'll certainly go back

Went here partly for the view, partly because I fancied somewhere different. Staff were friendly and non intrusive, though avoid asking for a recommendation on the menu as you won't get one. Food was lovely, sea bass cooked stunningly and the lamb had amazing flavour. Presentation was excellent. Cocktails were also lovely and worth sampling.

The view speaks for itself, covering all the way from the gherkin across passed battersea power station, then another view along the south side. The terrace also overlooks their 6th floor garden which is cool. I suspect in warmer weather the terrace seats are fairly popular. It is clear that you pay a slight premium for the view but then that's partly why you'd come here.

Overall a really nice experience, would definitely go back, and would recommend to others.
