As encouragement, drinks prices are pared back pre-8pm: load up on hurricane, hibiscus bellini, bramble & bullion (Cointreau, Bulleit, lemon & pomegranate juice) from a list that mostly steers clear of frilly swill – Mayfair hen nights are fuelled by Moët, not shots of screaming orgasm & Aftershock. Otherwise, if you’re out to impress, order a bottle of Pommery Summertime (£54) or Chassagne Montrachet (£45). Meatballs, steak sandwiches, ribs, paella & assorted lighter bites limit the damage – especially on ‘Decadence Fridays’, when you can dance yourself dizzy with no alarm clock to interrupt tomorrow’s sleep of the dead.
