Square Meal review of Tapastry:
The words of Muhammad Ali & Baroness Thatcher dot the yellow & reds walls of this new eatery in Honor Oak Park where only the punning Spanglish name elicits the occasional groan. A poppy soundtrack, pavement seating & efficient, good-humoured service set an informal scene for a lovely evening of Rioja & tapas. Pepperonata with duck egg, chorizo baked in heather honey & mushrooms with Picos blue cheese sit alongside more familiar tapas such as Spanish tortilla (here deliciously caramelised), sauteed prawns & manchego in various guises. Tapas priced at about £3.95 won’t pull the tapestry out from anyone’s feet come bill time.
