Square Meal review of Archipelago:

The ingredients on Archipelago’s exotic menu read like a list of the attractions at nearby Regent’s Park zoo. But although you might be tempted to dismiss dishes of seared zebra with a sauce of port, juniper & blackcurrants or peanut-crusted gnu served atop a soba noodle salad as culinary voyeurism of the worst possible sort, Archipelago is actually a pretty serious restaurant, with an extremely competent chef at the helm. Squeamish types who find the idea of love bug (locust) salad disturbing can rest assured that there’s plenty on the menu to assuage their hunger – dishes such as massaman chicken curry on toasted coconut rice will please the pickiest of palates. With soft lighting it’s an atmospheric spot, though there have been a few recent complaints over ‘haughty’ staff.
