‘A good all-rounder’, The Admiral Codrington continues to please with its combination of shabby-chic pub & classy restaurant (which comes complete with retractable roof for almost-alfresco dining). The kitchen conjures up a steadfast array of international fare, the likes of tuna & scallop tartare with citrus soy dressing sitting alongside char-grilled rump of veal with linguine pomodoro or the famous fish pie with minted peas. While the majority consider The Cod an ‘excellent local’, some find the regular clientele of ‘raucous public school types’ a little over-bearing, especially on boozy weekends.
