Three Kings Of Clerkenwell

A madcap little pub that looks more Camden than Clerkenwell, the Three Kings brings a breath of fresh boozy air to a rather sensible part of town dominated by well-behaved gastropubs. Inside it’s a riot of curios amassed by the landlord over the years – Adam & Eve, football star Dennis Bergkamp & a plastic rhino head all beam out from the curios festooning the walls. The kitchen looks to have upped its game of late – try spicy lamb sausages with mint yoghurt dip, pitta & hoummos or spinach & feta filo pastry parcels with bulgur wheat salad. Draught ales come courtesy of Timothy Taylor, Brakspear & Woodforde’s, & there’s a stack of board games on standby if you’re feeling competitive.
