You wouldn’t want to conduct a confidential business meeting at this snazzy teppanyaki joint, or, for that matter, a smoochy first date. Sen Nin is, however, perfect for a fun night out with friends, & children will love it. Diners sit at shared tables fitted with a large hotplate, which acts as a stage for well-rehearsed chefs to pull off their culinary stunts: flipping, tossing, flaming & juggling steak, prawns & vegetables before your eyes. It’s certainly entertaining & the food doesn’t suffer. We’d suggest avoiding starters & the average puds, & sticking to set menus (around £20 for your choice of meat or fish, veg, rice & miso soup). Otherwise, bills can get out of control. Lunchtime set meals offer good value, too.
