Since opening in 2009, the Rosslyn Arms has fast earned a reputation for its pizzas: fresh from a wood-fired oven. They’re handsome specimens topped with pedigree ingredients, & on Monday & Tuesday nights the place is packed with folk taking advantage of the two-for-one deal. Antipasto sharing plates or a salad could provide the opener to a meal, perhaps accompanied by a pint (Sagres, Red Stripe & Courage Best are on draught). There’s a relaxed vibe to the pub, helped by the shabby-chic decor, the youthful punters, cheery staff & a rock soundtrack that might run to the odd burst of Hendrix. The little beer garden at the back would be perfectly pleasant if you didn’t have to battle with smokers to find a nicotine-free spot.
