Square Meal Review of Hixter Bankside ?

British food crusader and serial restaurateur Mark Hix is planning to follow up the success of Hixter on Devonshire Square with a second outlet south of the river. Located in a former Victorian tin box printing factory, Hixter Bankside will follow the theme of its predecessor – so expect chicken and steak as the headline acts. The interior is being opened up, although many features such as the beautiful floorboards will be retained. In true Hix style, there will also be some dramatic contemporary Brit artwork for guests to ogle at – this time from Tim Noble and Sue Webster. Meanwhile, punters wanting to drink and party can convene in Mark’s Bar – a vast late-night space in the basement, possibly with a resident DJ every night.
