According to the blurb, ‘cool Korean cocktails and Seoulful snacks’ are the draw at Kimchee’s dishy new Bladerunner-esque destination bar. Adventurous tipplers will relish the opportunity to try leftfield cocktails featuring soju (Korea’s national drink) and various arcane spirits such as herby, ginseng-infused bekseju wine: the latter appears in a twist on bloody Mary; the former in east-west ideas such as apple sojito (a long drink that also has Aperol, Tequila, pomegranate, apple and mint in the mix) and soju-sojourne (a Maker’s Mark bourbon, umeshu liqueur, schisandra berry, pear and pepper sour). Other mixes call for chrysanthemum gin, lychees, rose liqueur and bokbunja (Korean fruit wine). Eurasian mocktails, traditional leaf teas, a dozen global wines and Harajuku boy beers are also available with meatballs in bulgogi BBQ sauce, seafood tempura, beef puffs, various skewers and veggie titbits.
