Square Meal Review of Dirty Burger Vauxhall ?

Located under the arches in Vauxhall, this offshoot of Dirty Burger in Kentish Town brings exactly the same ethos to south London. ‘Queue up and sit down’ is the order of the day, and the brevity of the menu makes for speedy ordering: essentially it’s cheeseburgers (£5.50) with triple-cooked fries or onion rings in tempura batter (both £3), plus a trio of homemade milkshakes, beers and soft drinks to wash it all down. Dirty Burger’s patties aren’t the biggest around, but they are the real deal – made with prime beef supplied by the Ginger Pig butcher and slapped into a glazed brioche bun with pickles, salad and a mustardy mayonnaise. Early birds can also kick-start their day with a hefty breakfast of thick-cut bacon or sausage in a patty with a fried egg.

    Munch My Way :: Dirty Burger, Vauxhall

    Dirty Burger dishes out American style burger operated by the team behind Electric Diner and Pizza East in Notting Hill. There’s two types of burgers served here. First you can get a breakfast burger that is served before 11am such as sausage and egg or bacon and egg. But after 11am you get either the cheeseburger(£5.5) or the dirty burger(£6.5) There’s also crinkle cut fries or onion fries on the side...

  2. Dirty Burger's second London location is, suitably, under an arch, just outside Vauxhall mainline train station. This restaurant feels more permanent than the pop-up shed 'round the back' in Kentish Town, but it still feels transitory. However the makeshift wooden bar, the fixed barstool seating, and exposed brickwork belie some serious kitchen kit - a flat top griddle to make Fred Smith sweat, rack of industrial fryers, and warming pad for fries - suggest it's another slick operation from Soho House...

    Life of a Londoner... :: Dirty burger... oh my days

    Warning this may make you drool... I never thought I'd see the day where I would find a burger joint to rival my beloved Patty and Bun... however I've found a close contender... Under the railway arches and almost impossible to find (for us)- we walked round the same roads and back again about three times - no jokes, all 9 of us girls failed horribly with our Google-map apps!?! We finally came across the shack like burger joint that is Dirty Burger...

    The List :: Dirty Burger

    irty Burger was on my to do list for a long time. I kept hearing wonderful things, but Kentish Town is pretty far away, so I was delighted when they announced that they were opening their second site in Vauxhall, where I work. Hopefully, this will mark the start of a Vauxhall food & drink revolution, if anyone can find any good spaces to set up shop. There are a few fun places around already (Bonnington Café, Estrela Bar, Brunswick House Café) but everything is randomly dotted around. Dirty Burger is more of a fast food joint than a restaurant, and wouldn't look out of place in a scrap yard. I mean this in the nicest way possible, as the tiny shack is made of random pieces of metal, some with locks and bolts still attached. Your main choice has already been made - you are having a cheeseburger (£5.50). Then you can choose onion fries or crinkle cut chips (or both, each is £3), and pick a soft drink, milkshake or even a Brewdog beer. If you want Sausage & Egg, or Bacon & Egg (with bottomless tea/coffee) then go along for breakfast before 11am - it opens as early as 7am on weekdays...

    Samphire and Salsify :: Dirty Burger, Vauxhall

    I wasn’t wholly in love with Dirty Burger when we visited their first outpost in Kentish Town. The simple concept was good but it was the burger I found disappointing. When I heard the Soho House Group were opening their second Dirty Burger I thought I’d give it a go. It’s situated on that massive roundabout in Vauxhall...
