Housed in pristine white arches directly opposite local hotspot Bar Story, here is an interesting modern art gallery and events space with a bar attached – although its hipster crowd is more likely to be critiquing the venue’s £6 cocktails than what’s being exhibited. Even so, the drinks are as pretty as a picture – especially the house signature Peckham spring water (a G&T/mojito hybrid based on Bombay Sapphire gin). Other good-looking sips range from espresso martini, negroni, Earl Grey Tom Collins and mango daiquiri to cooling watermelon ‘agua fresca’ (based on Cabrito Gold Tequila). Keenly priced wines, Stowford Press cider, world beers (Asahi, Brooklyn, Budvar) and Jägerbombs imply the groovy crowd is preparing to move the party on when the Springs pulls down its shutters on the stroke of midnight.
