Laid-back Aussie chef and adopted Londoner Bill Granger is already known to millions on TV, and is planning to raise his culinary profile in London with the launch of a second eatery to back up his quietly successful venue in Notting Hill. The proposed Clerkenwell site will bring his sunshine cooking to the trendy East End, with a menu full of his trademarks. Information is scarce at the moment, but it’s likely that the repertoire will reflect Granger’s reputation as ‘the egg master of Sydney’, as well as tapping into a full range of colourful Antipodean flavours – jazzy salads, pasta, curries, rice dishes, luscious puds and the like.
